Joan Banoit 'Bet Me' Single Launch

Joan Banoit's debut single 'Bet Me' is the much anticipated first release from Lazy Thinking, the Sydney based label created by FBi Radio co-founder Cass Wilkinson and composer/producer Jim Flanagan. After spending the last few years building a cult underground following, Joan Banoit will be launching their first single and video ahead of debut album 'Clerical' out later this year. The new material will showcase the output of a 12 month development period in the studio with Sydney producer Artefact, along with composer/mixer/engineer Stu Hunter and a host of cutting edge Sydney musicians playing everything from drums to flugelhorn, trumpet and trombone. Informed as much by the innovative electronica of Jlin, Arca, Burial and Autechre as they are classic synth pop, art rock and contemporary composition, swing by the Chippo on Friday the 13th for an appropriately spine tingling, utterly unique and thrilling take on contemporary music. Joining Joan Banoit will be an extremely special instrumental set by Marcus Whale performing as 'Marcus Not Singing' and exciting new vocal innovator Ces Hotbake.
